Keep working on my "zoom" behavior.

Atocha has been doing great a learning how to receive eye drops as part of her medial behaviors. 

Atocha and Cacica met our most recent group of adult DolphinLab students. The girls had a great time “laughing” at the jokes the students were making. 

Atocha is learning a fun new behavior of “gating” where she is learning to help close the gates when the trainers ask!

When doing a “peek” behavior simultaneously, the trainer called “together!” Atocha and Cacica heard and moved closer together to be touching, showing that they do hear and understand certain phrases!

Atocha, Santini, and Summer are very different in sizes and personalities but they remind everyone that even though you might be different from the dolphin next to you, you can all come together for something you love! For these girls that is diving- they love to show off separately but also as a group.

Atocha’s 2025 Resolution:  To soar higher than some of the birds around here!

Atocha, Cacica, and Windley were all in a session together and were having fun playing the “peek” game. You can’t help but smile with all three of their faces looking up out of the water at you.

Atocha and Summer are in training for their front flips! It is always an impressive behavior but it takes a decent amount of time to learn. Hopefully, these girls will enjoy learning it and we will see them flipping soon!

Atocha, Calusa, and Luna had the best time playing with a family during a splash. They picked a favorite person to be in front of and made sure to go back to them each time they were asked to do anything.

Atocha, Santini, and Pax are diving into some new concept training with their trainers. After being inspired by some trainers in Mexico, a small group of trainers are seeing if the dolphins can recognize them by doing a specific behavior when the trainer in front of them asks “Who am I?” It’s in the very beginning stages but is sure to be a great thinking game when the dolphins become comfortable with it.

Atocha, Cacica, and Diva caught the Taylor Swift bug when they had a great time doing a dance party all together to the pop star’s songs. They were having so much fun with their trainer that they had to play an encore.

Atocha and Windley are still fulfilling their roles as big sisters to Ranger. They are currently coaching him through his back-dive. He still has a little way to go but these girls will get him there in no time.
