Flagler and Louie are following Tanner's footsteps by learning their infinity hoop dives. We will soon have a trio of professional "hoopers" as they jump from hoop to hoop.
In another social change, Flagler, Louie, and Tanner have become a trio for the time being and have been spotted putting Louie safely in the middle as they swim together.
Sandy has been working on his assist training and Louie has been a great cheer-leader for him and can’t wait to join in after Sandy is done for his turn!
Louie and Sandy love to soak up the sun. You can usually spot them from a distance, as they are still rocking their sunscreen throughout the day!
Louie has been a great friend to Sandy as they have been living together. When all of the boys were asked to move into another pool, the five younger ones went but when they realized Sandy was not with them, Louie went back to guide Sandy into the new pool.
Louie’s 2025 Resolution: To practice thinking outside the box more.
After working on his “Go Away” behavior, where he will do behaviors further away from the dock, that is all Louie wants to do. He will slowly drift away from the dock and wait patiently until his trainer figures out the game and throws him a fish out there.
Ad-Libbing is the name of the game for Gambit, Louie, and Sandy. You will likely see them jumping and squealing at some point when you visit DRC. Gambit and Louie love to splash, Sandy showed that he still wins in creativity when he showed off a vertical spin into a breach.
Since moving in with the little boy crew, Sandy has chosen to sit next to Gambit and Louie during sessions. Recently,some trainers have noticed Louie and Gambit picking up on Sandy’s tactile. They have been noted for copying talk, tummy, and shark from Sandy!
While Bowie and Louie do not live together, there is no denying that they are related as they share similar traits and mannerisms. Louie has been known to catch baby nurse sharks and either bring them to his trainers or throw them over the fence. Bowie was also seen being interested in a nurse shark as she carried it around gently by its tail.
Delta, Louie, and Reese enjoyed meeting our most recent visitors from the Wounded Warrior Project. Louie and Delta enjoyed doing a swim with them. Reese could not stop bringing them presents. He would bring one and then immediately go get another one until everyone had a gift from him.
He has started a new training journey of learning his banana jump! He gets very excited to learn new things and is enjoying the mental challenge of touching two different target poles with his tail and his rostrum.
