Santini

Adopt MeGift Me a Bucket of Fish!

Break the world record for highest dolphin jump.

Diva is progressing well in learning the behavior of diving over another dolphin. The challenge lies with Santini, the assist dolphin, who finds the simple task of lying flat just isn't engaging enough for her!

At the end of the day, as the last feeds are done, Pandora and Santini can usually be seen upside down with their flukes in the air, trying to get the last trainer's attention so that they can get one extra parting fish for the night.

Aleta, Santini, and Summer have enjoyed playing with our dolphin camp visitors this summer! The older girls brought all of the presents and Summer surprised everyone by pulling a big floaty boat this year.

Calusa, Merina, and Santini loved welcoming everyone who visited us for the spring break season!

Atocha, Santini, and Summer are very different in sizes and personalities but they remind everyone that even though you might be different from the dolphin next to you, you can all come together for something you love! For these girls that is diving- they love to show off separately but also as a group.

Santini’s 2025 Resolution: To imitate six different things at once with people instead of just five things.

Merina and Santini are thriving in their matriarchal roles as they lead our “super pod”. We recently moved all 16 ladies and Ranger together and the older girls are doing a great job leading everyone, as always.

Cacica has decided that she likes to be grouped with Merina and Santini, the older ladies. These three became a trio in the last month as the older girls took Cacica under their wing and gave her dolphin guidance.

During a particularly windy day, a large palm frond fell into the lagoon. At that same moment, Santini’s trainer asked her to go out for a dive, Santini took the opportunity to jump over the large palm frond. She was having so much fun that she did it multiple times just because she could.

Atocha, Santini, and Pax are diving into some new concept training with their trainers. After being inspired by some trainers in Mexico, a small group of trainers are seeing if the dolphins can recognize them by doing a specific behavior when the trainer in front of them asks “Who am I?” It’s in the very beginning stages but is sure to be a great thinking game when the dolphins become comfortable with it.

Santini could be called the imitation queen. She loves to combine behaviors for imitations and enjoys it when someone brings something unique as a challenge. Recently, during a swim program, a guest tried to see if she could imitate him doing the butterfly stroke. After a couple of seconds of watching, Santini was playing right alongside him!

Santini, Calusa and Pandora all help the young dolphins learn, but they also help teach new trainers. They helped with the Dolphin Academy program as the students learned how to interact from in the water. The girls loved it!
